Grown in Ethiopia’s southern Sidama region—one of the country’s three trademarked coffee areas—these high-elevation lots come from smallholder farmers who deliver cherry to local washing stations. Expect classic Ethiopian elegance: fragrant florals, tea-like clarity, and bright citrus-fruit sweetness.
Typical elevations run ~1,500–2,200+ m above sea level, promoting slow cherry maturation and layered flavor.
Both washed and natural styles are common. Washed Sidamo is traditionally depulped, fermented, and dried on raised beds, yielding a clean, aromatic cup; naturals lean fruit-forward and jammy.
